APPLE PIE PORRIDGE with ALMONDS

Apple Pie Porridge with Almonds

0% refined sugar, 100% Plant Based

Ingredients
  

  • - 100 gr fine gluten free oats (can be with gluten if that is not an issue for you)
  • - 1 cup hot water or plant based milk (I use oat milk for extra natural sweetness or unsweetened soy milk, almond milk, etc… - depends on what you like)
  • - 1 tsp cinnamon
  • - 0.5 tsp vanilla powder
  • - 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • - 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • - 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • - 1/2 piece big apple (200 g)
  • - 1 pinch himalayan salt
  • - 4-5 drops stevia (depends if you like it very sweet)
  • - 1 tbsp coconut butter
  • - 10 gr walnuts

Optional ingredients to add flavour, nutrients & volume: 

  • - Extra nuts
  • - Extra apple

Instructions
 

  • If you like your porridge hot you can make it in a moment, if you like it cold, you can make it and leave it to cool for an hour and then put it in the fridge for extra coolness :)
    Cut apples in cubes and simmer them in 3 tbsp of water with 0.5 tbsp of cinnamon for about 10 minutes until they start to release juice and get soft.
    Mix oats with all the dry ingredients.
    Add apples and water or the plant milk of your choice.
    Bring it to all to boil and keep stirring, it will be literally 5-10 minutes and your porridge is ready. Add stevia (if you like it sweeter than it is :) ) and some chopped almonds to the mix to warm them up slightly.
    When it's ready, transfer to 2 bowls and dress it up with pieces of fresh apple if you’d like, drop pieces of coconut butter on top and sprinkle with whole or chopped almonds.
